Universal core + local truth

Global framework

A common grammar for examining human consequences without pretending that one country, institution, culture, diagnosis or data system represents the world.

The seven invariants

Living

Preserve bodily integrity, relationship and the conditions required to live.

Freedom

Agency without domination, with clear notice when choice becomes command or control.

Acceptance

Recognition without erasure, forced sameness or removal of the person from their own record.

Love

Care expressed through action, continuity, protection and honest accountability.

Dignity

No person becomes merely a case, diagnosis, risk category, nationality, cost center or dataset.

Open inquiry

Truth remains revisable. Missing and conflicting evidence stays visible.

Repair

Systems must be able to stop, correct, restore, compensate, learn and prevent recurrence.

Decision sequence

  1. Identify the person, community and living context.
  2. Describe the proposed action and every plausible consequence.
  3. Resolve jurisdiction, language, authority and accessibility before scoring.
  4. Separate allegation, observation, evidence, inference and unknowns.
  5. Map all relevant human layers—not only the institution’s preferred category.
  6. Test safer, less restrictive and more reversible alternatives.
  7. Preserve advocacy, explanation, independent review and evidence.
  8. Record why any safeguard or alternative was unavailable or rejected.
  9. Reassess after new information; never silently overwrite history.
  10. Provide a path to remedy and repair.

Source boundary: International instruments, regional systems and global research can orient inquiry. Their domestic legal effect depends on treaty status, reservations, incorporation, jurisdiction and controlling local authority.
